HAWAII
Duration: 43 minutes

In this epsiode of the ISLANDS OF THE PACIFIC series, our cameras venture deep into the heart of Hawaii's Kilauaeau Volcano hovering just a mere few hundred feet above the percolating lava and we also tour throw the volcanoe National Park, a place where being sure footed means living a long life. We also visit the dolphin research program at Dolphin Quest and take part in a familiarisation swim with the dolphins for scores of young children. Many of these youngsters come face to face with these marvellous creatures for the very first time in their lives.

Hawaii is also the playground for the Northern Hemisphere's whale population and home to the Pacific Humpback whale. We meet intrepid whale researcher Dan McSweeney and join him on one of his whale watch adventures from Kona and experience some up close and personal encounters with these amazing creatures of the deep.
